Barrington a native of Mandeville in Jamaica completed his secondary education at Knox Community College. In 2003 Barrington attended Northern Caribbean University where he achieved his degree in Hygiene where he was the first male, from that institution, to graduate in that discipline.  He then relocated to Grand Bahama in 2006 where he continues to practice.
